Wedding Photography at Dromoland Castle, Ireland
Adam & Roisin got married at Dromoland Castle in May 2017 with a large guest list from Ireland, the UK & beyond. I had the honour of photographing their wedding and as both Adam & Roisin would be getting ready in separate parts of the castle, I took a second shooter along for the full day. My second shooter was covering the groom prep which started with lunch for family & the groomsmen at the golf club at Dromoland while I was photographing the girls getting ready in the spa at Dromoland. Below are some sample images from the day. As a wedding photographer, at a venue like Dromoland Castle, you are spoilt for choice for both the indoor & outdoor photo locations, there are just so many photo opportunities. But like all weddings, time is short so my style of shooting quickly before moving on to the next location was aptly suited.
The hotel offer couples and photographers two golf buggy's which we were free to use and drive around ourselves on the day. That was a huge help as the grounds are massive and you'd just never get to walk them in a timely manner on a wedding day. Both Adam & Roisin were a joy to photograph and their love for each other was very much evident for all to see on the day. After Adam & Roisin entered the function room to meet their guests, there was 10 minutes of Israeli dancing where the guests essentially throw the groom up in the air on chairs, table cloths or by any means possible. It was such a great experience and the atmosphere was electric.
